Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer with us.

 

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the following roles

Food Parcel delivery drivers for food parcels to clients, this role requires the use of your own vehicle. Based at our Moortown Distribution centre.  Drivers are paired up with another driver ( in their own vehicle ) and each route involves delivering to approximately six households , approximate time commitment 2 hours per week one day a week Monday to Friday mornings.

Admin assistant, recording donation weights on our online database,  monitoring emails , thanking donors and responding to enquiries and phone calls as appropriate based at our Burley warehouse.

Sorting donations, at our Burley Warehouse.

Packing emergency food parcels, at our Burley Warehouse.

On call van drivers to help with food collections from our regular collection points, this role does not require you to have a vehicle but to be happy driving the foodbanks’ van. Based at our Burley Warehouse.

Warehouse Cleaner one or two days a week – Warehouse Cleaner Volunteer

Social media, working from home, or from one of our locations, to update and curate our social media presence.
