Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis.
Right now, Leeds North & West Foodbank are in urgent need of the following volunteers:
Volunteers at our distribution centres needed
We are looking for volunteers who are able to help at our distribution centres, especially our new Hawksworth Wood centre.
There are a range of different roles you could get involved in at the centres – meeter and greeter (making initial contact with clients and welcoming them to centre); signposter (doing main work with clients and signposting them to organisations that can help); packer (packing bags) and help in the kitchen (making drinks etc).
New collaboration with Leeds United Football Club needs Volunteers
Leeds United Supporters’ Trust are proud to announce that they have been working with the Leeds North & West Foodbank, along with the Leeds South & East Foodbank, in setting up a new food collection point for ongoing home games in conjunction with Leeds United. We will need volunteers at the home games to help collect and manage donations in what is an exciting new collaboration. Email us for more information or download our application form.

You would use your speaker skills to spread the word at city-wide venues including:
- Schools (both Primary and Secondary)
- Brownies/Cubs/Guides/Scouts ie different age range groups
- WI / Rotary / Mothers Union
